Jacob Foley

I'm a engineer with a lifelong interest in data, experimentation, machine learning and artificial intelligence. I've previously held roles as a Data Engineer, Engineering Team Lead and Fullstack Web Developer in software companies across Australia, Canada and New Zealand, generally in education or the creator economy.

I'm currently focused on harnessing Generative AI for the Data Stack, applying this new wave of technologies to the data systems for summarisation, classification, clustering, semantic search and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).

We’ve never had better tools for working with unstructured text, and exploring how these techniques can be applied to a company’s data is something I’m enthusiastic to pursue!
